Withdrawal from contract
Withdrawal from an Austrian package travel contract ends the agreement before departure. Depending on the reason, reasonable compensation may apply or a full refund may be due (section 10 PRG).
Under Austrian package travel law, a traveller may withdraw before departure at any time and without giving reasons. The organiser may generally claim reasonable compensation. The amount depends in particular on the timing of the withdrawal, savings and income from using the travel services elsewhere. Any agreed fixed compensation must be reasonable.
If unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances arise at the destination or nearby and significantly affect the package travel or transport to the destination, the traveller may withdraw without compensation. All payments made for the trip must then be refunded in full. During the trip, termination may be available under section 11(6) PRG where there is a significant lack of conformity.
Withdrawal is distinct from cancellation under agreed cancellation terms. The consequences therefore depend on the travel contract, the reason and the timing. Cancellation

Price reduction
Under section 12(1) PRG, a price reduction is a reasonable reduction of the price for each period during which a package trip is affected by a contractual non-conformity.
